I'm starting to wonder why on earth people even bother saying they want to do things when in reality they have not the inclination, nor the time.
I just spent about an hour and a half out in freezing, snowing weather waiting for something that ended up not happening because everyone couldn't make it, or had other things to do. Or just felt like not doing anything at the last minute.
This happens to me a lot.
We were supposed to meet someone somewhere else as well, and now that that's NOT happening, and no one else had ever contacted them before other than me, I'M going to have to make the call.
On another note, usually, when one is going to drive a fairly largish group of people to a place they had never been before, one would think to look up driving directions and not expect other people to do it FOR you.
So this is what I get to top off probably the worst week I've had in a year or so. Perfect.
*sigh* I'm not angry at anyone. Whenever I get this way, I'm usually just angry at the circumstances that led to it. Hell, I'm one of the most laidback people I know - I just don't like things or plans that have been worked over for a week suddenly decapitated.
What an image. Still, it doesn't change the fact that this happens a LOT. I'm usually the person who rallies the rest of my wayward flock together in order to do anything - maybe that's why this happens so often. If I'm the only one wanting to actually do anything, no wonder shit never works out!
